13th Solo Art Show

My 13th solo art exhibit is titled A Blast from the Past – Abstract Paintings by Christina Senkiw. It features 18 large acrylic paintings from the first 2 decades of my painting career (1970s & 1980s).

12 Of My Illustrations Appear In A Credit Union Calendar For 2010

All the months of Toronto's So-Use Credit Union 2010 Calendar are illustrated by 12 of my costume drawings from the book “History of Ukrainian Costume”. The calendar was compiled and designed by Raya Shadursky. It's available free from the So-Use Credit Union in Toronto.

I Donated 300 Copies Of My Book “Mother Nature's Pets” To 300 Children

A call was issued in June 2010 by “Plast – Ukrainian Youth Organization” for donations of children's books for summer camp. I donated 120 books, one for each child, and subsequently, made similar donations to “SUM -Youth Organization” and “Ukrainian National Organization Youth ” In total: 300 books were donated to children in 3 summer camps in Ontario.

I Designed The Cover & Layout And Edited & Translated The Text Of a 28-Page Banquet Book

The banquet book was created for the inaugural presentation of a humanitarian award from the Ukrainian Canadian Social Services, Toronto Branch to investigative journalist Victor Malarek on March 20, 2010 at the Old Mill Inn.

A Commission To Design A Banquet Invitation

I have been commissioned to design and produce an invitation for a gala banquet celebrating the 80 th anniversary of the Canadian Ukrainian newspaper “The New Pathway”, which will be held in Toronto Oct. 30, 2010.

My Book Cover Design Is Published

I designed the cover for the recently published book about the history of the Canadian Ukrainian Catholic church in western Canada titled “Blessed Endeavour II” . I also did the cover for “Blessed Endeavour I” a few years ago.

I Donated “Mother Nature's Pets” To The Ukrainian Festival In San Diego

In support of the 50 th anniversary of the Ukrainian Festival in San Diego, California, to be held Sept. 3, 4, & 5, 2010, I donated 5 “Mother Natures' Pets' children's books for the raffle.

Ongoing Group Exhibit Summer 2010

Kumf Gallery in Toronto is hosting an ongoing art exhibit over the summer months. I'm showing 2 acrylic canvases titled: “November II” and “Spring”.

New Madonna & Child Icon Completed

I just completed a new stylised icon titled: “Flower Madonna and Child”. The original is executed with color pencils on art board. Reproductions will be available through this website autumn 2010.

Group Exhibit At The Kumf Gallery Nov. 7 – 21, 2010

I will participate in a group exhibit of art by members of the Canadian Association of Ukrainian Artists at the Kumf Gallery in Toronto. I will be showing 2 new acrylic paintings: “Autumn Triptych” and “Sumac”. The exhibit opens Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 3:00PM

Toronto Artists Celebrate Trypillian Culture

I will be showing paintings on a Trypillian theme. This group exhibition complements the exhibition “Ancient Ukraine: Mysteries of the Trypillian Culture” at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, Nov. 29, 2008 to March 22, 2009.

“Dzherelo” Group Art Exhibit and Sale

I, along with other Toronto artists, have been invited to decorate a Christmas star that is traditionally carried by Ukrainian carolers from house to house.

Funds raised by silent auction at this exhibit will benefit the “Dzherelo Children's Rehabilitation Center” in Western Ukraine.
